John F. Miller, 74, went to his heavenly home on October 2, 2021. He was a member of Blue Spring Missionary Baptist Church. He loved the outdoors and making memories with friends and family. He loved to entertain and always had a story to tell. His most special memories were made fishing, quail hunting, gardening, cooking, working cattle, horseback riding and camping. He enjoyed traveling and exploring new wonders but most of all just spending time with his loved ones. John was guided by faith and surrounded by His light during a two year battle with cancer.
John graduated from Boonville High School in 1964, married Lollie in 1966, joined the Army National Guard of Indiana and was stationed at Fort Sill, OK in 1967 when he started his family. After his US Army duty of assignment in 1971, he began working for SIGECO in the line department. He transferred to FB Culley Power Plant as a coal and yard equipment operator, and member of IBEW Local 702 until he retired from Vectren in 2007. He built a great life in Indiana, then married Theresa in 2014 and moved to Cadiz, KY.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Mildred Miller. He is survived by his wife, Theresa, and children, Tim (Dawn) Miller and Misty (Dwayne) Adkisson; step-children, Josh (Betsy) Garland, Joni (Paul) Wharton, and Katie (Marc) Overstreet; grandchildren, Justin (Natalie) Widmer, Felicia (Kevin) Troutman, Madelyn Miller, Sadie Belle Adkisson; Maddie, Kendra, and Tyson Wharton; Ella and Macy Overstreet; Lincoln, Henry and Knox Garland; great-grandchildren, Treyson and Aaliyah Widmer, Mariah Webb; sister, Darlene Masterson; nieces, nephews and cousins; dog Tucker and horse Cutter.
