Jeanette Dimmett

Jeanette graduated from Reitz High School and married Ray Dimmett on December 25, 1941. She worked at Vanderburgh County Treasurer’s Office for eight years and at Smith & Butterfield in Accounts Receivable for 31 years. She was an avid bowler, and in September of 2015 she bowled a 212. She loved to garden, especially flowers and enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her family. She was a member of Eastminster Presbyterian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Ray Dimmett; brothers, Charles and Harris Ungetheim; sister, Deloris Schweikhart; sister-in-law, Maxine McDowell; and nephews, Ronald Fulton and Richard McDowell.

Jeanette is survived by her son, Larry Dimmett (Melanie); daughter, Janet Aide (Bill), grandchildren, Jeana, Kimberly, Derek, Chad, Keith, Kevin, Becky and Laurie; 17 great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren; sister, Goldie Fulton, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, February 18, 2016, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, burial in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
