Jason Loomis

Jason was free spirited, he had a big heart, and gentle soul. He was full of energy and made no bones for his quest for life in the universe. From an early age, he brought laughter and joy to everyone he knew. He was incredibly funny with an endless amount of animated faces and voices. We all know his famous Hunchin-face! Jason was all or nothing, living life on the edge. Fast, furious, and curious. For example, the time he went headfirst down a 70 foot water slide while his mom watched and screamed below…*(the instructions were to lay down feet first)…not for Jason! Jason had a passion for skateboarding and playing his guitar. He excelled in hockey and gravitated towards science and languages. Jason loved family vacations, road trips to New York, Florida, and Colorado. In the Cayman Islands, during a scuba dive we saw a 5 ft. barracuda. Jason was instructed to ignore them, they don’t like you looking at their teeth it makes them feel insecure! Jason did what he knows best and swam over and GRABBED the barracuda’s tail! Luckily for us, the barracuda noticed he had nicer teeth than Jason, so it saved us in the deep blue sea. CARPE DIEM

Jason is survived by his mother, Jennifer Porter-Kieffer and step-father Kelly Kieffer; father, Gregory J. Loomis and step-mother, Ann Loomis; sister, Kristen J. Martin and her boys Dylan, Hunter, and Gatlin; brother, Gregory P. Loomis and youngest brother, Blake D. Loomis; step-sister, Kaylee (Luke) Folz and her boys; step-brother, Korey Kieffer; grandmothers, Phyllis Porter and Ruth Rogers and many other amazing aunts, uncles, cousins and very good friends.

He was preceded in death by his Grandpa Gordon L. Porter; his brother-in-law, Josh Martin, and step grandfather, William J. Kieffer Sr.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. with service following at Alexander Funeral Home Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Road 261, Newburgh, IN 47630.
