He was a US Air Force veteran. Fred was a member of Newburgh United Methodist Church and retired from Alcoa. He enjoyed fishing, archery, camping and golf.
Fred was preceded in death by his 8 siblings, and daughter, Debbie Sellers.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Rita (Barnes) Sellers; son, Mark Sellers of Newburgh, and stepson, Ryan Hodges of Germany.
A Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Road 261, officiated by Rev Holly Hardsaw, with burial in Maple Grove Cemetery. Family and friends may visit 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at the funeral home.
