Donnie L. Tedford, Sr.

He graduated from Bosse High School in 1959 and attended several electronic schools. Donnie proudly served in the U.S. Army for six years. He was an electrician and retired from Big Rivers Electric Corp. after 22 years. Donnie was a member of Newburgh United Methodist Church. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and playing cards. He loved his family and enjoyed playing with his grandchildren.

Donnie was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Tedford, and brothers, Bobby Gene and Bill; grandson, Alex; granddaughter, Laurel; and son-in-law, Tommy.

He is survived by his sons, Donnie, Jr. (Joan), Robert (Isabel) and Rick (Janice) Tedford and Dennis Szorcsik; daughters, Mindy Bennett (Chris), Brenda Roberts and Linda Goss; grandchildren, Chris, Leslie, Cody, Caleb, Sarah, Abbey, Tiffany, Dustin, Chelsey, Dalton, Devin, Katie, Jordan, Clinton, and Rowan; great grandchildren, Austin, Braylend, Avery, Rilynn, Lance, Anna, Gage, Weston, Wyatt, Olivia, Lake, Amelia, Theodore, Oliver, Emmitt and Eliana, and brothers, John Paul and Tom (Darlene).

A Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 19, 2023 at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Road 261, officiated by Rev. Holly Hardsaw, with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Family and friends may visit 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at the funeral home.
