He retired from Alcoa where he worked for over 30 years. “DC” was a member of the Fraternal Order of Moose where he served as Governor for three years and officer for ten years. He currently served as president of the Old Tin Street Rod Club, and was a member of the Sons of the American Legion, Kapperman Post #44, Masonic Lodge No. 174 and the Hadi Shrine Temple. He was also an avid golfer.
Donald was preceded in death by his first wife of 60 years, Janice Marie Overfield-Moore; daughter, LaDonna Williams-Moore; sisters, Vonda Woodring and Alta Hick, and brother Tom Moore.
He is survived by his wife, Marsha Orth Moore; son, Mark A. Moore; daughter, Joy Moore-Eaves; son, Michael C. Moore; 8 grandchildren; step-children, Roger, Alan and Dennis Orth; 16 great-grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; sister, Delores Storm; brother, Herman Glenn Moore; nieces and nephews, and his three small dogs, Jonny, Chloe and Daisy.
A Funeral Service will be 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Road 261, officiated by Pastor Christena Poehlein, with entombment in Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
