Dan was an employee of Mulzer Crushed Stone for the past 10 years. He moved to Newburgh after living in Nashville, TN, where he worked for Light & Sound Design. He toured the country as a lighting technician for trade shows, athletic events and concert tours. Dan worked at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, as well as concerts by Reba McIntyre, Brooks & Dunn, Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw, Sheryl Crow, Elton John, Ozzy Osbourne, Kiss, Lynard Skynyrd, Black Sabbath, Andrea Bocelli and many others. He enjoyed most sports and was a passionate golfer, an avid hockey fan and lifelong University of Michigan football fan.
He is survived by his parents, Dennis and Pamela Jankowski of Newburgh; and brother, Brian Jankowski of Nashville, TN.
The family would like to thank the skilled nurses and doctors of Deaconess Gateway Hospital and the Indiana University Hospital in Indianapolis, who cared for Dan during his illness.
Private services will be held at a later date.
