She was a life member of the Clan Grant Society, a member of the Red Hat Society, 23’ers Birthday Club, and Peace Fellowship General Baptist Church.
Clara was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy V. Johnson; and daughter, Linda E. Johnson.
She is survived by her son, Michael L. Johnson (Vicki L.); grandchildren, Morgan G. Johnson, Sarah A. Bickett; brothers, Benny O. Grant (Coralee), Elvis D. Grant (Maria); and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, July 21, 2014, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel with burial at Bates Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Sunday, 2-6 PM, and Monday, 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
