Charmain Coffman
December 14, 1945 – June 27, 2024

Charmain Coffman went to be with the Lord on June 27, 2024 after a brief illness. She was born on December 14, 1945 to the late Edward Heineman and Marylee Davis.
She graduated from Reitz High School and married Lawrence H. Coffman in 1968. She taught nursery school for 5 years at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, had a 30 plus year career as a Pharmacy Technician working for Medical Arts Pharmacy, Osco Drugs, Stratman’s Pharmacy, Hooks Drugs and Wal-Mart. She was an active volunteer, and served as a youth leader and Sunday School teacher at Shepherd of Hills, a Cub Scout leader, and served in various roles on the Washington School and Bosse High School’s PTAs. She was a loving mother with a kind heart and warm personality that will be missed by her friends and colleagues. She was very loyal and served as a mentor to many. She enjoyed singing in the church choir and loved traveling and attending in person Indiana University sporting events with her family.
She is survived by her son, Michael Coffman, and her four brothers and sister's families, Fred Heineman, Darrell Heineman, Michael Heineman, Mark Heineman and Marcia Burgdorf, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m.,Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Road 261, officiated by Rev. Dr. Tom Wenig, with entombment in Alexander Memorial Park. Family and friends may visit Monday, July 1, 2024 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
