Bill was born in Manhattan and lived the first 8 years of his life on the Upper West Side. His family subsequently moved to Westport, CT.
Bill was a graduate of American University in Washington, DC and quickly began a photographic career. He had a successful business as an Architectural & Real Estate Photographer and was a creative master of his craft. Bill counted Citibank, Boston Properties & Saks Fifth Avenue among his many clients. He photographed extensively in NYC, throughout the US & in London. Bill also had a 2nd career as a Body-Mind Therapist & was an Interfaith Minister.
Bill was an integral part of the Pathwork community, MDI and a founding member of The Fathering Forum. He was also committed to Brooklyn Parkinson’s Group (BPG) and fund raising for PD related charities. Bill’s incredible joy for life was matched by the unquenchable fire to battle Parkinson’s for himself & his much loved Parkinson’s community.
Bill rode his bike through the streets & parks of NYC. He excelled at many different sports and was a true athlete who ran 7 NYC Marathons. He was also an accomplished swimmer & boxer.
Bill Miller lived & loved passionately - full-out with a dedicated mind & open heart. He was deeply loving & devoted to his wife, Kristin, as she was to him. They were together for over 28 years.
Friends & family remember Bill Miller’s wry sense of humor and generous spirit. He was committed to finding meaning in life, in his own life and in his life choices. Bill did so with sharp insight, intelligence & laughter.
Bill affected the lives of so many people and his love of life filled friends with joy & purpose. He shared his treats, didn’t complain & pitched-in to help.
Bill Miller is survived by his wife, Kristin R. Kramer and his brother, John A. Miller and London family. Also 2 step-sons in Cleveland, OH: Ryan Rivchun & Kevin Rivchun and many cousins in the Senie family. Bill is also survived by his many caring friends who continued to visit him during the last, challenging 18 months of his life.
