To the Etra family
I just found out about  the passing of Dr William Etra.  I worked in his office many years ago. I was a medical assistant and this included checking in his patients.  I never forgot Dr Etra, he was always so caring and went the extra mile for his patients. He was in a class by himself.  Gone too soon. My deepest condolences to the family.

To the Etra Famiiy: 

It is with profound saddness I write this note. Bill was a colleague of my dear late father ( d, 1996) at Beth Israel and in general. My father was extremely fond of Bill and he became someone who kind of watched over me especially after I lost my father young and in only 9 weeks. My mother and I spent many Shabbat and holiday dinners together. He was the only one over 27 years who always called me on the anniversary of my father's death ( March 17th). His calls were so important to me and that connection I will so deeply miss. His long perseverance  during his very difficult medical problems was one of a man with the highest of character. I truly felt so bad for everything he has gone through. I lost my mother in 2001 and now an "honorary"  member of my family. I will always think of him with the uptmost loyalty to my father and kindness toward me, My deepest sympathy to his mother, son, grandsons and brothers.
