We did not know William (Wesh) well, but we know what a good brother he was to his sister, our dear friend, Sesh and to his nephew Kiernan.  May all his loved ones find peace in knowing how much he loved and was loved.

My condolences to your family for your loss. Back in the late 80's when I first met Dr. Esh, I knew pretty immediately that he would be my dentist for life. At the same, I'd needed a lot of dental work done & even though I'd never expressed how scared I was, Dr. Esh always went out of his way to make me feel comfortable; because of who Dr. Esh was as a person, he made the process of my dental work so much easier. He was a delight to be around and truly made a difference in my life.  He will be missed tremendously.

Willie was everyone's friend. His doors were always open, personally and professionally. When friends finished a marathon, his door was open. Hosting his friends in New York and out East and all of Daniels and Max's friends, his doors were open.  The Esh family doors were always open .He was the ultimate Dad, a warm and welcoming friend and human being. I will always remember his smile 😊 his love of food and life, most of all  his family.

My condolences to his whole family.  I haven’t seen Billy since our days at Snow Hill Camp!  I’m sure he had an excellent career, but I have to share  how awesome a basketball player he was…. Great dribbler, great shooter, and great basketball sense!  A great kid!

Gaye and I extend our deepest sympathy to the Esh family. 

Willie was a good man. I met him at a small dinner party in late 1977 or early 1978, soon after I arrived in New York. As the four of us left the restaurant, Willie extended an invitation to see his office, which I believe was fairly new. Once there, an energetic Willie was charming, funny, and generous with his friendship. I quickly realized I had found my new dentist and a new friend. I remained a patient and a friend all these years. Although we moved in different circles, there were meaningful connections, and I will never forget how easily we could make each other laugh over some shared incident.

Gaye and I hope that Charmaine, Max, Jordana, Daniel, and Mark will find comfort in fond memories of the love and good times they shared with Willie. May his memory be a blessing.

I was  lucky enough to know Willie for 50 + years
  Not sure I’ve met a more  uplifting positive human being …
    He was a Unique individual and definitely had his own take on life 
     He was part Paul Newman and part a Jewish grandmother 
      I’m so sorry for his family and friends

  He was the most positive human being 
     Just a Fun uplifting soul , always there for a friend

I am very lucky to call Willie my friend. Also my wife feels the same way. 
He has been a big part of my life and his kindness, generosity was off the charts.

Our favorite time with Willie was going out to dinner. He loved food. We would always go to steakhouse especially our annual Peter Lugers where Willie would order for everyone. One time my wife his his untensils when the food came and he was in a panic.  He never let us forget that. 

Willie has left us but not in memories which I will cherish the rest of my life.

I was saddened to hear of Dr Esh’s passing I will always remember his warm and loving personality and generosity towards all who crossed his path he never made you feel like a visitor he always made you feel like part of the family.

William and I were friends since were we six, growing up in Brooklyn.  I always will remember William as being warm, exceedingly generous and willing to do anything for his friends.  He will be missed.

May his memory be a blessing.

I’m so sorry to the family for their loss.  I first met Dr. Esh when I moved to the upper west side in the fall of 1992. I needed a dentist. He was so warm and welcoming as a doctor from the moment I first went to him as a patient. I was his patient for 25 years. He always gave me great care and made himself available whenever I had to see him. He was very personable telling me stories of his time at the Hamptons. 

He showed great care for me and his other patients. I was glad to have known him. He will be missed and I’m so sorry.
