Victor was born on March 6, 1950 in Washington, D.C., to Lawrence and Sophie Bevilaqua (nee Oldakowska), the youngest of three brothers. Though he did not live there for long before moving to Miami, Florida, the city must have made an impression because he would later return to attend Georgetown University.
As a young man, Victor excelled equally at athletics (especially golf) and academics and being exceptionally mature for his age, often told his children that he began attending Spring Break in Fort Lauderdale (the Daytona Beach of its day) at the age of 15.
After completing a degree in Economics at Georgetown, Victor went on to get his MBA from Columbia Business School in order to pursue his great intellectual curiosity. Once he began his illustrious career in marketing, Victor also obtained a master’s degree in psychology and sociology from the New School.
Victor married Jane Egan on April 9, 1978, and they had two children, Jim and Jackie. Both would eventually follow in their dad’s footsteps in attending Georgetown University, though neither was able to attend Spring Break until legally an adult. Though Victor and Jane divorced after 14 years of marriage, they remained good friends.
After retiring from his first career in marketing, Victor went back to a job he was truly passionate about - teaching. He was an adjunct professor of Sociology, Psychology, and Economics at County College of Morris, Essex County Community College, Union County College, Caldwell University, and Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Victor also had several loving and devoted relationships along the way.
Victor had an incredible sense of humor, was a great dancer, an animal lover, and, frankly, had an amazing head of hair. He was a kind, sensitive, and extremely caring and loving person.
Victor was and continues to be a beloved father, grandfather, friend, uncle, brother, cousin, teacher and person. He will be missed terribly and his family will continue to celebrate his life.
