Sybil Goday was an extraordinary, classy lady, strong minded, smart, beautiful, kind, compassionate, loveable, selfless, great sense of humor, and won the hearts of many friends, willing to assist others and made a positive impact with everyone she encountered.
She always said "I met the best, I knew the best and I worked with the best" : Buddy Rich, Roger Eden, Kaye Thompson, Sammy Cahn, sang with Russ Morgan Band, Woody Herman Band and Benny Goodman Band.
She started performing/dancing at age 6. She modeled shoes and was an exceptional singer.
Sybil loved her family, friends, her daily freshly squeezed orange juice, coffee and muffin, carrot juice, any and all things dance, the Broadway Theatre, fashion and shoes.
Sybil and Happy's lifelong friend (over 50 years), Charles Aznavour entrusted them with the task of creating a Broadway show with a collection of his songs. After Happy passed, in his memory, Sybil took it upon herself to bring this project to life. Her relentless efforts in this endeavor was spectacular, phenomenal.
Married to Happy Goday, the love of her life, Sybil said Happy had a beautiful soul. They were one entity, soulmates. They produced daughter Mace Happy, one granddaughter, Sybil Happy Goday Pena, and three glorious great grandchildren, Jose, Isaiah and Alexandra.
Sybil is also preceded in death by her mother and father and her loving dear brother, Stanley Kay.
The entire Goday Family would like to express our unending gratitude, love and respect to an incredible lady, Curdel Campbell, who was her caregiver and loyal friend for 8 years with love and compassion.
Sybil will be missed. She is with her beloved Happy and may her beautiful soul rest in peace.
