I met Steve at the New Jersey Y camps  where I was a counselor in the girls division! We both had attended M&A . I played the part of Bloody Mary in his production of South Pacific! He was so talented, so vivacious, such a mensch to work with. Years later 
we discovered that we lived in the same town, Larchmont!  We had kids the same age! He helped me in my musical career.  Then he and Mady moved to New York.
He was a treasure , one of a kind.
He will be greatly missed!!

I met Steve and Mady , like so many others, at CLC in 1973 and  we have remained close since then, seeing each other over the years either here in London or in West Palm Beach, Larchmont, New Rochelle, Lennox and NYC.  He was so full of energy and indefatigable, I don't think either of us ever managed to finish a thought process before we jumped to yet another topic. That he was "The Magnificent Steve" cannot be denied!!  I will miss him so much and send my love (and Bonnie's) to Mady,  Adam & Ryan. I wish you only the fondest of memories of my dear and oldest friend.

I will miss Steve's phone calls and getting together for lunch. Te last time we did in August it was with Ira G.. and now they are both gone. What I will miss most is talking with Steve about our memories since we both became friends in 1958. Rest in peace old friend.

Steve and Anita came to celebrate Jamie and I getting Married.  They always had a soft spot and a kind word for the boys and his infectious laugh could be heard through the halls of Ramapo.

Such fond memories of Steve!!   I was a camper in CLC from 1976-1978 and performed each summer with Steve as an awesome director.  In fact I would say he was my idol at the time.  He certainly instilled in me a love for musical theater.   He will be sorely missed.  

I met Steve and Maddie at the New Jersey Y Camps where he was musical director of a long string of camp musical productions. All three of my children participated in these wonderfully produced shows and as a result, have  gained a life long love of theater. This has been passed on to their children. Additionally, I had the privilege of also working at camp and got to know Steve and Maddie, socially. Steve was a larger than life character who spread joy to all those who knew him. My condolences to his family.

I first met Steve as a camper at the NJ Y camps in 1973.  His shows were the best.  Four years later I was musical director for the shows at the Lake Como NJ Y camps. Steve was my inspiration.  Fast forward decades and I ran into Steve many times at Breads Bakery on Broadway since he lived in the building above my office at Ascap.  Here’s a photo of us at the office just last year. We talked about music and life.  He will be missed.
