Solomon (Sol) Friedman left this Earth after a courageous battle with cancer. In heaven he will join his beloved wife, Priscilla, and his beloved daughter, June. He leaves behind his brother, Joel; two daughters, Carrie and Jill; and two sons, Stephen and Jordan. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren, Andrea, Lydia, Elise, Emma, Cal, Evan and Isabella.
A true native son, Sol lived his entire life in New York City. Born into difficult circumstances during The Great Depression, Sol and Joel together overcame tremendous adversity and built happy and rewarding lives.
Nothing was more important to Sol than his family. He was a rock and an anchor, and an oasis of warmth and love in a world where both are in short supply. He will be sorely missed.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Ronald McDonald House, which Sol long supported, would be deeply appreciated.
