Ronald John Warfield

Ron was a beloved and devoted father, family member, and friend to many. He was known for his disarming charm, second only to his remarkable resilience. He suffered many challenges, in his health and his life, beginning at an early age; and he never failed to overcome and return with ever greater spirit and resolve. Ron’s broad intelligence and professional acumen manifested in various successful careers, although he was an accomplished attorney by trade. He had the unique gift of being both strong and kind, and never failed to help those in need of his wide-ranging expertise or support.

The only thing more remarkable than the story of Ron’s life, is the story of his heart. At twelve years old, Ron underwent cardiac surgery, with a dismal prognosis. Ten years later, he met Jill, the love of his life, and he found his reason for being. They were married for more than half a century, until her tragic passing from Alzheimer’s disease. Ron spent his life as her steadfast companion, showering her in bewildering adoration. As his final gesture to her after a lifetime of love, he passed on their 54th anniversary, joining her only weeks after her death, and ensuring that she would indeed never be alone.

Ron was the ever-proud father of Colby Holland, and is survived by siblings Victor, Mary, Joan and Jimmy. He is lovingly remembered by his extended family daughters, Cynthia, Annette, Susan, and Kimberly, grandchildren Kerrie and Kayla, Ashley, Kristyn, Eddie and Joe. Ron was a staunch patron of the arts, a cultured and true gentleman who could hold a conversation on nearly any topic. He had an undeniable presence in any room, was a surprisingly adept dancer, a born leader and a warm companion. He was a classic, in every sense of the word, and is sadly and sorely missed by all.

A Funeral Service will be held at Frank E. Campbell - The Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, April 6th at 11:30am.
