I met Bob over the phone in 1990 through a mutual friend. Bob was a broker at Bear Stearns and I was a broker trainee at another wirehouse in NYC. Despite our 30 year age difference, Bob and I became great friends and we spoke by phone 5-10 times a day for over 20 years. He was the first and only person who saw something in me that I’d be successful and his encouragement and advice while I was in my early 20s sustained me. He will be missed greatly

Bob was an incredible man. He had the most incredible life and his stories were legendary. I remember reminiscing often with Bob often about his early life coming up on Wall Street with this his great friend Carl Icahn. Baruch Dayan HaEmet. 

Hello my name is Alexander Bykovsky. I worked with Bob at SternAegis and Kraft. I will never forget his kind heart, easy wit,and cornucopia of great stories . He will truly be missed. I always remember he told this one story, about when He and Carl first moved into the dorms at Princeton and ran into their soon to be roommate lifting weights and yelling that both Bob and Carl better stay somewhere else because he need the whole dorm to himself. Carl takes one look at him and says"hey I'm the caption of the Princeton boxing team, and no one is going to tell where or when I can come and go", Bob is  from laughter on the inside but is keeping a straight face Carl moves over to the guy, like he is going to strike him. Until the weight lifter say 'Jes it was just a joke'. That was one of my favorite Bob stories. My deepest condolences. I was very sorry to hear about Bob's death. I remember him from both Boston Road in the Bronx and Pelham Parkway when he lived on Wallace Ave. He always was upbeat and a rather funny person who through sheer nerve advanced himself in the world of finance to a level few could reach. May he rest in peace and may he be remembered by his family and friends as a decent person.
