A life-long New Yorker, Richard grew up loving the Brooklyn Dodgers and grew old cheering for the Mets. Richard spent his career in the table linen industry, took up acting in his 70s, and played golf into his 80s. But his real loves were his family and many life-long friends. A nice meal, a glass of wine, warm conversation, classical music, the ballet, and a walk in the park nourished his soul.
Richard was the son of Jack and Mae Rosen. Richard is survived by his sons Michael (Susan) and Andrew (Brandi Beck); and grandchildren, Matthew, Sam and Charlie Rosen and Dasha Fowler. He was preceded in death by Annette, his beloved wife and partner of almost 60 years, his sister Claire, and his adored granddaughter Elizabeth Hannah Rosen. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Richard’s memory to Central Park Conservancy.
