Rhonda Ellen Ores

Rhonda E. Ores, 56, of New York City died on May 16, 2022. Rhonda was born in Queens, NY and is predeceased by her parents, Murray and Sylvia Ores. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Marc and ­­­Amanda Ores, her nephew Jack Ores, countless friends, and her friends and colleagues at Fox Rothschild, LLP, where she was a partner in the firm and practiced matrimonial law since 2006. She was a devoted daughter, sister, friend, and colleague who had a special bond with her beloved nephew, Jack who loved spending weekends with his Aunt RaRee in NYC. Rhonda enjoyed traveling and if she wasn’t planning a vacation to Europe with her many close friends and travel buddies, she was hopping on a plane to the Caribbean to enjoy the sunshine.

Rhonda graduated from the University of Rochester and New York University School of Law and practiced matrimonial and family law at Fox Rothschild and Phillips Nizer in New York for over 30 years. She was an ardent and compassionate advocate for her clients, and touched the lives of many, both in their joyous and troubled times.

She was highly regarded in the profession, having served on the Board of Directors of the New York County Lawyers Association, and having received numerous awards including “Super Lawyers” and “Women Leaders in the Law.” She will be remembered by her colleagues as a smart, witty, dedicated, and loyal partner and friend. We are better for having known her.

A service in celebration of Rhonda’s life will be held at Riverside Memorial Chapel at 180 West 76th Street on Wednesday, May 18 at 11:30 a.m. Donations may be made in Rhonda’s name to JDRF, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, http://www.JDRF.org.
