So hard to realize a year has gone by since you left, my heart and memories are forever cherished. I will always remember what a great man you were and such a great friend to so many of us who worked with you. Te quiero siempre Ramon por siempre en mi corazon y recuerdos.

I will always remember the first time we spoke on the phone…you said what I waited 34 years to hear….that you never forgot me and you love me very much❤️

My Uncle Ramon was my Godfather and Uncle. Even though we didn't interact much during the last years, he will always have a sweet spot in my heart. I will remember his selflessness and warm heart. His joy for life and his love for his sisters and niece.  When Maria hit Puerto Rico, he was the first to volunteer to check on my Mom the widow of his older brother, amidst flooded roads and debris. He selfishly helped her with her damages and woke up early to take her to the airport. That was his heart to serve and make others feel joy either via his love for music or his infectious presence. I am comforted by the fact that during his last years he spent it surrounded by those he loved, his sisters Ana, Elsa, niece Josie and amazing caregivers. Those who met him were impacted by his friendliness and jovial personality. He is now joined with his beloved Mother and brothers playing the guitar and being the life of the party!

Uncle Ramon, I’ll never forget the fun times we had when you come all the way to Phoenix to celebrate my wedding day 20 years ago. We’ve never had a chance to spend a whole lot of time together but the few chances we’ve had to interact were always so sweet. Watching the care and support given to you by your sister and niece the at the end of your life is such a testament of how much you are loved and the true meaning of family.   I will always be grateful to them for all they did for you.  May you now rest in peace always knowing how much you will be missed. 

My uncle Ramon was one of the funniest people we knew - literally the life of the party. And, once he picked up that guitar, we knew he was singing for all of us. If you were ever lucky enough to hear him play (even more so if he was joined by his brothers), you experienced the full complement of our culture and history.  Life being what it is, we only had a few memorable moments together but those moments SHONE with so much laughter and passion for life.  His sisters adored him and I would often picture them as the kids they once were - together right up until the very end.  That love is his legacy and I’ll cherish it as part of my history always.

Ramon was my friend since 1983 🙏🏼🙌🏼 he was a sweet, generous and great friend. He loved music, playing music and celebrating life with his friends. We worked together for a cable company and he was smart, responsible and a great teacher to many. You will be truly missed my friend I love you 💙 Rest in peace, until we meet again.

Nadie puede saber realmente que es lo que Tio ha atravesando sin caminar una milla en sus zapatos, ver lo que el vio en Vietnam y hacer lo que tenia que hacer para protegerse.   Descanse en paz.
