Paul is survived by his brother Kenneth Morrissey of St. Louis, and his niece Marisa Crawford of New York City. He is preceded in death by his sister Justine Indri, brother Robert Morrissey, and brother Peter Morrissey.
Paul was born on February 23, 1938 in Yonkers, NY to Joseph and Eleanor Morrissey. He graduated from Fordham University in 1959 with a degree in English. Paul was a devoted cinephile and amateur photographer who, in the early 1960s, turned his talents to filmmaking, becoming one of the most influential and accomplished directors of the 20th Century.

A funeral service will begin at 10:30 AM and a short reception will follow. Graveside service are scheduled to begin at 2:00 PM at Calvary Cemetery, 49-02 Laurel Hill Blvd, New York, NY 11377.
