Patria Almonte Rodriguez was born on December 12, 1941, in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic, and she entered eternal rest on January 5, 2023.
Patria was a long-time resident of Washington Heights, NY, where she made a home with her husband, Silvio Rodriguez and children.
Patria was a devoted mother and is survived by her beloved children: Rosana, Silvia Patricia, Ricardo (Anissa) Rodriguez, and her ex-husband Silvio Rodriguez. She was a doting grandmother to Destiny Patricia Moran and Kingston Six Rodriguez. She was a cherished sister, adored aunt, blessed godmother, and a caring friend to many.
Patria was preceded in death by her mother, Rosaura Barona Almonte and her father, Nicolas Almonte.
Patria is well remembered for her elegance and passion for life; she is now a bright new star in the evening sky.
