I am saddened to hear about the loss of your mother.  I have many fond memories of Nancy.  She hired me at DHS.  She was a wonderful supportive boss.  I learned a lot from her.  She worked hard, long hours, we were always busy but she made sure we had good times at work and  her staff had a nice environment.  She made the work and stress appear easy because she always had the same team player attitude.  Aside from her successful career, her children were her pride and joy.  She loved you all very much, she talked about y’all every chance she could.   The sparkle in her eyes got bigger when she spoke of you.  She was full of life and love.  She is gone too soon but will never be forgotten. May all the precious memories of your mom bring you and your family comfort.   A mother's love is a never-ending gift.  May you forever feel her watching you from Heaven.

My mentor, my role model, my friend, my guardian angel, a Queen who gave me my first opportunity to work for the City of New York, you have gone to be with the angels and I will miss you. 

I made 20 years with the city on 8/19/22 and all I could think of was you. I couldn’t have done these 20 years without you and forever I will be indebted to you my friend.

We made it through 9/11 and the blackout in 2003 together. Moments that showed your intelligence, strength, and resiliency, your care and determination. You were in the thick of it always making it through. Truly inspiring and unforgettable.

Although we moved to separate work locations over time, we kept in contact and our friendship, respect, and loyalty remained. Truly an unforgettable soul.  I will miss you dearly. 

Nancy, thank you again for giving me a chance and sharing your knowledge and wisdom with me over the years. Thank you for the good times we shared outside of work. Thank you for the memories that will last a lifetime and beyond.
