She was born on January 28, 1935 to Yolanda and Maurice Fumex in Paris, France. She lived in Manhattan for the past 70 years, but always had Paris on her mind.
She loved tending to her terrace garden - an oasis in the sky. In true Michele fashion, she enjoyed a final glass of Rose with her family on her terrace the night before passing. She was in great spirits.
Michele was a devoted and loving mother to three daughters. She was known as Minou to her family and friends. Minou was an avid tennis player, accomplished pianist and dog lover.
She now joins her husband and soul mate Irving Zwerling, who died in 1998. She is survived by her children Caroline Korman, Fabienne Harriman, and Patricia Potter, her sister Francoise Fumex, her grandchildren Justin Korman, Dylan Korman, Gabrielle Harriman, Colin Irving Potter, her great granddaughter Penelope Harriman, her nephew and godchild Laurent Fumex, her niece Catherine Fumex Toury, and her son-in-laws Kevin Harriman and David Potter. Her parents and brother Gerard Fumex predeceased her.
A prayer service for Michele will be held on Tuesday, May 2nd 2023 at 10:00 AM at Frank E. Campbell - The Funeral Chapel located at 1076 Madison Avenue New York, New York 10028.
