I must first express my sincere condolences to Mello's Mom and family and by extension, the Management and Support Staff at Yorkville, Manhattan Life Adjustment Center (LAC).

I joined the Staff at LAC in January 2021 where I spent seven amazing, interacting months with Melody affectionately called "Mello" and eight other Individuals.

In the mornings Mello would greet me with her infectious smile, then engaged me about her Job, how to get to her Mom's house or her earlier days in California. 
Somedays she would be playing and singing to her favorite music Artists, Donna Summers (DS)  Diana Ross (DR). At the end of each performance , Mello would say; "I know you didn't know I have her voice?" Then we would burst into laughter. On a Sunday though, Mello would turn her TV on to her Gospel channel which makes reference to her Savior.

I could go on about my short nteraction with Mello.. Today I know she is in the Arms of an Angel teaching them her favorite DR and DS... RIP Mello... you will forever be in our hearts ❤💐

 


Our beloved Melody is no longer with us but her memory will always with the staff at LAC. She's a special person sweet and caring, it was a pleasure working with her. She is great in Math and loved her puzzle books.

May her soul rest in peace.

I am saddened and my heart hurts hearing  about Melody passing. Melody have a positive impact of my life. I remember having long and very interesting conversations with her. I loved listening to Donna Summer with her.  Gone too soon,

I worked with Melody for probably 20 years. She was a delightful person who loved Donna Summer and could  also sing every verse of " I will Survive" by Gloria Gaynor.  I communicated with Melody by spelling out words instead of saying them. She loved it and it always cheered her up when she felt sad or mad. She was loved at AHRC and will be terribly missed by everyone. My deepest condolences to her mother Nydia who she loved very much. RIP sweet lady. LOVE Rutha Rosen.
