Rest In Peace Matty, you will be missed by those close to you as well as those far. Your love of life, family and of course The Yankees was infectious and I am thankful that I was lucky enough to call you a friend. 

Matt - you were always a warm, friendly, funny, sarcastic, smiling friend.  Thank you for being part of my G. W. experience.   May you Rest In Peace. 

i met Matt in 5th grade when i transferred to calhoun--he was one of my first pals and was so warm and kind, i didn't feel like such a newbie. we'd spend hours talking baseball, trading baseball cards and listening to music. we had numerous epic sleepovers which were always fun. i lived down the block from Matt on the upper west side and we'd round up friends to go skateboard across town. as we got older, and he switched schools, we'd bump into one another from time to time, and seemingly pick up from whenever we last met. 
i'm sending all of my love to his loving parents, his wife, Noah and all those who knew him. Matt is a beautiful soul who shall remain in our hearts forever. 

I met Matt through college friends my first year at Tulane.  One amazing quality Matt had was his pure joy of life.  The party was always wherever Matt was- simply because you felt you were a big part of his joy when you spent time with him.  I might not have known him well, but I do know was so kind & loving - and a force to be reckoned with.   He shone that bright light wherever he went, literally.  He loved living and never took anyone or anything for granted.  Rest In Peace, Matt.  My sincerely condolences to your family.

I'm very sorry for your loss.  I hope the wonderful memories comfort you during this difficult time.  I went to high school with Mattt.  He will be missed!

Matt. You were one of the first people to be nice to me at GW. You were compassionate and kind, and you had a presence like nobody I had ever met. Your smile lit up the room, and your voice  will be forever remembered. We spoke a few years ago, and I wish we had spoke more often. Stay cool my friend. 

So sorry to hear about Matt. We were great friends in junior high, and I’ll always remember  our sleepovers with Canadian bacon in the morning. He was a good guy and was always happy when our paths crossed.  My heart goes out to  Leslie and Van, and his wife and child. 

This is one of the saddest moments in our lives and we wish we could turn back the clock. The realization is almost too much to bear but we will see you live on in Fara and Noah's hearts forever. Matthew, you lived and loved life to its fullest. Loving son, brother, husband, dad to the King and friend to those lucky enough to know you.
A man among men, a smile that lit up a room and a Yankee rooter bar none. Gone too soon but never to be forgotten...

Matthew was always a bright light.  He brought laughter and joy to every occasion. He walked into a room and his smile lit it up. And it was contagious.
I am so grateful that I was able to know him and feel his light.
