Born in Monticello, NY on August 4th 1934, he was a true renaissance man, visionary, and pioneer. As an advocate for social justice, he began his career as a political and crime reporter. He later founded 3 companies including Marcon Communications, which he took public in 1969, and Marcon Capital, an SBIC.
Martin lived life on his own terms, owning racehorses, producing movies, playing poker and backgammon, traveling the world with his wife, and avidly staying abreast of the news.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Annette, and his children, Brad, Dana, Allison and their spouses. He had eight loving grandchildren: Andrew, Alex, Christopher, Rebecca, Michael, Elizabeth, Kyle and Niki.
Services are at Riverside Memorial Chapel, 180 W 76th St, NY on May 29th at 11:30am. Donations can be sent to the Geriatric Wright Center at New York Presbyterian Hospital.
