Dear Meriamne
I just recently learned of Mark's death.   First I feIt great sorrow and then quickly turned to feeling what an honor it had been  to know him and work with him.
One of the only people I have every met who touched everyone with his kindness and gentleness.  His heart and his smile were always a mile wide embracing those around him.  I will miss his presence in the world very much.

I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Dr. Mark Sorenson.  My deepest condolences to Dr. Meriamne Singer and family. 
He will be greatly missed.  May his memory live in our hearts and bring joy to all that knew him.

The loss of Mark Sorenson profoundly saddens me. I extend my deepest condolence to his family and his colleagues. He was a wonderful man and will be greatly missed.  May he be in blessed memories. 

Dr. Sorenson was an outstanding analyst and a wonderful human being.  In the analytical setting, the qualities of the analyst can sometimes be obscured; yet, in Dr. Sorenson’s case, his compassion and dedication were always apparent in the room.  As a patient, I always felt I had his full attention and that his office was a safe place.  Given the diagnosis he’d received, I was not surprised by his passing, but I am deeply saddened by it.  Our community has lost a wise, kind and unique individual, and I offer my condolences to his family, friends and colleagues.  I am sure that the world is a better place because of the time he spent among us.  

I have been a patient of Dr. Sorenson for over twenty years.  He was a warm and caring doctor and helped me tremendously over the course of that time.  I send my condolences to the family.

Dear Family, Friends, Colleagues, Patients of Dr. Mark Sorensen,

Please accept my deep condolences on the death of Mark Sorensen.  I was very concerned about him and received the letter from his colleagues about his passing this afternoon.  This news is difficult to absorb.  To me, he was a most decent man and doctor.  May his memory be a blessing.



To the Sorenson Family, Both Dora and I were very sad to hear of Mark's passing. I remember him as a PGY 2 on the Washington Hghts Community Service/ inpatient unit. A great resident to have worked with, smart, caring and very funny. We did many home visits together and he loved hearing about the history of Washington Hghts and he loved working with all our patients and our staff.
