Marion was born of February 25th, 1936 to Martha Kreuter Rinkowski and Walter Rinkowski in New York City. She met her husband of 64 years, Patrick O’Leary, growing up together in the same neighborhood. They married on August 16th, 1956. Shortly thereafter Marion pursued a degree in Lab technology. After graduation she began her career at Bellevue Hospital, where she thrived in her work until she left to begin her career at Bellevue Hospital, where she thrived in her work until she left to begin her family. Marion’s love of antiques inspired her to open Afterglow Antiques in Forest Hills, Queens with her longtime friend Mary Degenhardt. She continued her passion for antiques with her husband by participating in the GreenFlea Antique Market in Manhattan. Marion was recognized for her appraisal skills throughout the business.
Marion is survived by her husband Patrick and two daughters Audrey and Patricia. She also has three granddaughters Brittany, Kristen and Stephanie. They also had a son, Kevin who passed away as an infant.
Marion will be interred at Long Island National Cemetery at Pinelawn on March 2nd, 2021. In Lieu of Flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity.
