At age 65, she began to play bridge, and in 2021, became an American Contract Bridge League Silver Life Master.
An avid theatergoer, June developed enduring friendships with many artists and volunteered with several city organizations. She loved animals and adopted several cats over the years. Her feline friends ruled the household and she lovingly cared for their every need.
Born in Manhattan in 1932, June graduated from Lenox School in 1950, attended Bennington College and graduated from Sarah Lawrence College in 1974. She also attended Columbia School of Social Work from 1975 to 1976.
