Dear Megan, Brian, and Kevin,
It  has been so long since I've seen any of you - probably since your grandfather died. I think you remember me from doing shows with your dad... and then bring friends... I am stunned by finding out John died nearly a year ago . I knew something was up. 

It had been too long since I had heard from your dad. I left a message early last year and we shared a few text messages, but with all the COVID -  19 stories I tried to reach him to see if he was ok. When he did not text back, I did a search and his obituary popped up. I just knew he would have cracked a joke or something in return like, 'nope! No corona here' and then give that great laugh and giggle.

I don't know where the time goes. I always think there will be more time. I love your family very much. John meant so much to me and still does. I am so glad my husband got the chance to meet him.  Please send my love to Virginia. I hope you are all well. He loved you so much and I know that you know it. 

In this grief, I pray he went peacefully. My heart is broken but that is because our friendship was filled with love.
