I just learned of Jim's tragic death.  I have known Jim for many years, and really valued his friendship and company. We went to high school together, lost contact, met again in law school, and became law partners in our own small firm until each went to greener pastures after 13 years of practice together.  Lost touch after that - which I regret.  My daughter and his son Michael played together from time to time, and we shared many vacations and holidays. I found an old picture from our law school graduation dinner in June 1974 which I'm attaching.  Each time we ran into each other in court we said we would meet for a drink - but never did.  I'll miss him.

I had several cases with Jim during the 90's.  He was a challenging but ethical opponent. We became friends and talked often on the phone, sharing war stories and exchanging info on experts and transportation law information.  I cannot believe he is gone and will miss him.

Jim was in my bridal party. I was married to Fred Marino his first cousin.  I was very saddened by the news of his passing and my heart goes out to his wife and children. Jackie Marino, PA

I worked on a big case with Jim some years ago; we had a great time dining out after depositions in all parts of the country. Just a lovely man and an excellent lawyer. My condolences to his family.

Jim was my boss. I started working for him when I was 18 years old. 

Jim was my mentor. He taught me so much about the industry and about life.

Jim was my friend. We spent many hours working talking and breaking bread together.

I just thought he would always be there:(

I knew Jim for 30 years and will always recall him as being one of the most pleasant people one could ever meet. Always a big smile and a kind word. All of us who knew him are just so much better for our association with him. A true Prince of a guy.My prayers and thoughts are for Annie, Jasmine and Jim's sons and family.

My husband Dominic (Danny) and Jim's mom Anne were first cousins. His grandma Fannie and parents lived near me in Richmond Hill, Queens, NY.  His mom Anne helped me buy furniture when I got married.

I used to talk to Jim as he was waiting for the school bus when he was just 9 years old.  We lost contact until we meet again at two family parties in 2005 and 2012. I was glad we reunited and that I met his wife Anne and daughter Jasmine.  I extend my sympathy and prayers to all his family and to those who love him.

Jimmy was my first cousin, our fathers were brothers. When we were young and Aunt Annie was alive, our families spent many Sundays together visiting at each others homes. Our mothers would spend hours on the telephone talking to each other. Aunt Annie was very proud of her son and loved him very much. His passing is such a shock and my heart goes out to Annie and his children. The last time I saw Jimmy was in April at my husband's memorial visitation. Hearing that Jimmy had passed away so suddenly was very hard to understand. He, along with Annie and his children, are in my thoughts and prayers.

Jim's mom, Anna, and my dad, Mimi, were first cousins. From my earliest childhood days I remember Anna and her husband Jim. I remember "little Jimmie" quite vividly. For a number of years we lived near his grandmother, our dear Aunt Fara (Fannie) Marino and Jim was there with her often. He was a polite, quiet boy. We lost touch and after many years I contacted him from my home in Italy and we exchanged mail/messages occasionally. We connected again at my dad's 99th birthday party in 2005 and again last year at the Marino family reunion on September 15th. He was a delight as a boy and more so as a grown man. My heart goes out to Annie and the children....he will be in my thoughts and prayers for as long as I am able. Cousin Nino Marino
