Elinor Friedman Felcher of New York City, passed away January 13th, 2021.
Daughter of Jacob J. & Lilian Friedman, brother of S. Donald Friedman, widow of Martin Felcher Esq. stepmother of Pamela and Marjorie (Gregg Newman, MD), step- grandmother of Katharine Newman; aunt of Ari Friedman (Robin) and Joanna Ferdman (Mark); great-aunt of Lillian, Nicole, Zoe, & Charlie. Graduated from Woodmere Academy & Mount Holyoke College, moved to Manhattan & became an inveterate New Yorker. Worked at Interior Design magazine many years & wrote a book on Modernism in design. Once retired, took up Bridge and in keeping with her love of New York, worked for The Nature Conservancy. Admired & loved by all who knew her as an independent, determined, loyal, supportive, caring person. She will be greatly missed.
