Beloved husband of Susan Simon Cohen, father of Joy Cohen and Noel Cohen, grandfather of Emory Cohen, brother of Leslie Jablow and Irwin Cohen, father-in-law of Donna Cohen and loving uncle and granduncle. Writer of works spanning 50 years from his first novel, $250,000 to his recent collection Before Stonewall. Awarded the Awst Press Book Prize and the Key West Tennessee Williams Prize. He was a director with Playwrights Horizons and for many years he was associate director of New York's Jewish Repertory Theatre.
