Dr. Alex Eliseo Asencio

Alex Eliseo Asencio, M.D., age 66, passed away on June 13, 2020. He was the son of the late Juan and Adelaida Asencio. He graduated from Hunter College and Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He recently celebrated 40 years since receiving his medical degree. He was a physician who deeply cared about his patients. In fact, he deeply cared about all those around him. Alex (Lise) was a devoted brother, nephew, cousin, friend, and partner. He was the shining light of our family. He was born with very little, and yet, accomplished so much. He travelled the world and made lasting friendships in distant places. He loved being part of New York City and appreciated everything it offered; the people, the places, the art, the music, and the food.

If you are planning to attend the public viewing on Friday, June 19, from 3pm-6pm, please be aware that these are not “normal” times. As such, the numbers of visitors allowed in the funeral home at one time will be limited. We ask that visitors wear face masks, maintain physical distance, and limit their time in the funeral home to allow others the opportunity to pay their respects. We want everyone to live long and happy lives.
