Lebell, Don – Devoted husband, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and mentor to many, died peacefully on April 3rd, 2022 at age 95. Don Received his PhD in Electronics and Systems Engineering from the University of California and has served as a professor in management and engineering graduate schools at UCLA, University of Southern California and the University of Maryland. He also served on the Department of Defense's Task Force on Globalization and National Security, was an active member of the Ploughshares Fund’s Nuclear-Free Society and served on the board of the Federation of American Scientists. Besides running his own consulting firm, Don worked for GE in automation, water and energy resources and for the US government in Chile for a number of years. Don also served with honor in the US Navy in WWII.
Don is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Jane Stern Lebell, by his children, David and Vicky, Michael and Jennifer, Jeanette and Suzane and Jeffrey. He will be sorely missed by his children, his 5 grandchildren, great granddaughter and by Jane and the entire Stern family.
Funeral will be held at Riverside Memorial Chapel at 180 W 76th St, NYC at 11:00am on Tuesday April 5th.
