David Seth Siegel of Manhattan passed away on Saturday, January 13. He is survived by his wife Luci, son Jake, sister Cindi, and cousins Carol and Mark Reiss, Stephen and Rosalie Roseman, and David, Judi, and Joe Siegel.
We will miss David’s spirit for life including his quick wit and his passion for cooking and especially baking (notably his chocolate torture cake, brownies, and shortbread cookies). David enjoyed striking up conversations with new people and was never at a loss for words. Friends and family were always taken back by how much he knew about history, food, architecture, art, sports, mythology, antique watches – you name it. David lived in Manhattan for the past 40 years and never lost his love for taking long walks and looking around at the city in wonder. Family meant the world to David, and he loved us all and let us know it. Rest in peace darling. You were wonderful.
If you wish to honor his memory, donations may be given in David’s name to either of these three organizations: the Alzheimer’s Association, CaringKind, or ALS of Greater New York.
