To the family of my dear cousin Alice....With a heavy heart I write to the children and grandchildren of my first cousin Alice. I was very close to my Aunt Bessie, Alice's mother.  Bessie was a mother to me....in more ways than one. I was one of the youngest first cousins in our family and so Alice and I were not close although I do remember spending some time with her when I was a child.  It is never easy when you lose a parent or grandparent and so with the most loving, heartfelt condolences I wish my 2nd cousins and their children a heart left with wonderful memories. They had their mother for a very long time and that in itself is a blessing. You were all very fortunate to have been born into a loving family and I'm sure that love will carry with you always.
