Dr. Albert Aiello Jr. - known as “Big Al” to some - was a father, grandfather, son, brother, and captain of industry. For the majority of his career Al was the Chief Information Officer of Fidelity Investments and Bovis Lend Lease. He was also the CEO of multiple Fidelity Investment companies and a member of the Board of Directors for Novell, Inc and a number of private equity portfolio companies. An avid student of life, Albert held a PhD in management science from NYU’s Stern Business School and engineering degrees from Brooklyn Polytechnic institute, now part of NYU. A fierce competitor in all of his endeavors, Al was a lifelong member of The New York Athletic Club and abided by a strict workout regime. His final act in life was owning and operating Stevie Tomato’s Sports Page, a chain of award winning sports bars in Southwest Florida. He is survived by his children Jessica (Gregory) Patcella, Sara Sandler Aiello and Rebecca Aiello, grand daughter Avery Patcella, sister Laura Pollari and his partner Jennifer Petrick.
