Roy Lynn Holt

“Lynn” Holt, age 53 of New Tazewell, TN, was born June 9, 1963 and passed away on February 21, 2017 unexpectedly at home. Lynn was a member at Cross Roads Missionary Baptist Church , graduated from Washburn High School in 1981. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. He was the statistician for Claiborne County Bull Dogs Football Team for 10 years. He worked at Berkline Bench Craft for 17 years, presently employed at England Corsair in New Tazewell, TN., graduated TCAT College in 2014, also he was the “Cooler Daddy” of the Springdale BP. He loved dirt track racing where he was a member of the pit crew for the Thorn Hill Kid, Lynn also loved to hunt & “noodle” fish but most of all he was a loving son, brother, husband, father and great “baby sitter” for his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Fred and Eva Ramsey Holt; Elmer and Willie Cope Wolfenbarger; father-in-law, Grant Seal.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years: Peggy Holt

The family will receive friends from 6 until 9 P.M. Thursday February 23, 2017 at Coffey Funeral Home in Tazewell, TN. Funeral service 1:00 P.M. Friday February 24, 2017 at Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial in the McGinnis-Harrell Cemetery with Military Honors.
