Linvil says he remembers playing basketball at Red's with Richard, Robert T,and Johnny Upton. Of course Red being the youngest and the smallest Richard and Robert T was always pushing him around and teasing him.But Red always came up swinging! Those were the good ole days! Love you guys!

I am Rhonda, Rogers cousin Kyles daughter.I have so many memories as kids, at mamaw and papaw Brooks,and at uncle Bills. We played in the fields,jumped on trampoline,played checkers,and he used to get such a kick out of holding me down and tickling me till I cried! He was always so much fun to be around. As most do,we have grown apart as we got older,but never forgotten. Good bye cousin,say hi to mamaw and papaw for me,Im sure you are alrready with them.Love You All!!

I am sorry to hear about Red.  He was a good friend.  I always enjoyed working with him at the registered sales.  He will be missed.

Roger was a dear life-long friend and customer. I have spent many a good time in conversation and jocularity with him. It seems so strange to have seen him just that day of his passing. My heart felt prayers to the family and I know that he will be at peace with the Lord. He was a wonderful person that will be sorely missed in my life and all those with whom he touched. The good lord took an amazing man home last week. Red was an inspiration to everyone around him, he was full of joy, often making peoples day. I have many and share many memories of Red. We have so many memories of Red and he will truly be missed. He brought the best out in everyone he met especially in our family. Our two boys, Richie and Tyler "TLW" will miss him more than words can say. The many meals that he shared at our table were special and won't ever be forgotten.
