January 18, 1949 - January 11, 2023
Cumberland Gap - Linda Kay Marsee, 73 ended her earthly journey on January 11, 2023 at Claiborne County Medical Center, Tazewell, Tennessee. She was a generous and gracious person who loved her Lord, church, and family. Born in Middlesboro, KY on January 18, 1949, daughter of Ted & Eva Rush. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, along with three brothers: Bill (Virgil), Charles (Bessie) and Ted Jr. and five sisters: Anna Mae Bush (Jack), Betty McElyea (Mickey), Pauline Rush, Dorothy Lamb (Jim), and Vivian Marie Davis (Dewey). Survived by one brother, Rev. John Rush (Kay) and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends, including Paul Cadle, Jr.
Linda was a gracious and generous person! She was thankful for the ministry of the AllCare Team, assisting her with meals, house chores, and personal medical care. She grew up in Cumberland Gap and had no interest in living anywhere else. Attended the local schools, made her profession of faith and baptized at the First Baptist Church of Cumberland Gap. A Celebration Service will be held at Coffey Funeral Home in Tazewell, TN on Friday January 13, 2023. Beginning with visitation at 2:00 PM and a Celebration of Life at 3:00 PM, officiated by Linda's brother. In lieu of flowers you may send a memorial to Samaritan Purse, Boone NC. Private burial will be at Harrogate Cemetery. Coffey Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
