Kyle Teddy Collingsworth age 79 passed away Wednesday November 25, 2009 at the Claiborne County Nursing Home. On the morning of January 29, 1930, a set of tiny twins were born to Jim and Mattie Collingsworth. The babies were delivered by Old Doc Lynch and he ask that the boy baby be named after his son G. Ted Lynch. As the story goes the baby was named Kyle Teddy. Ted grew up in the Little Sycamore Valley where he attended school and church. At a young age Ted accepted Christ as his personal Saviour and he became a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. On April 2, 1954, Ted married Elizabeth Jacqueline Arnold and to this happy union, two daughters were born: Kathy Diane and Lisa Gail. Ted was always known as a hard worker, whether he was farming or driving a truck. But the job that was most dear to him was being one of Powell Valley Electric Boys. Ted worked from May 1, 1972 until March 17, 1993, retiring after 21 years of service. Ted will be missed by many friends because he always had a twinkle in his blue eyes, a smile on his face and he never met a stranger.Ted was preceded in death by his father, James S. Collingsworth, his mother, Martha Moore Collingsworth, his brother, Ross Collingsworth, his sister, Cleo Seals and her husband Ernest, his sister Tennie Whitaker, his brother-in-law, Rev. Wallace Brooks and nephew Ross David Whitaker and his wife Sue.
