She was a teacher for many years, touching the lives of many children whom she loved dearly at Clinch Powell Head Start in Tazewell, Tn, Heritage Christian Academy, Forge Ridge School, and TNT Primary School, where she finished out her career.
Karen was saved at the age of 6 at a revival at Seals Chapel Baptist Church in August of 1984. She had a beautiful testimony shared to many throughout her life. Later, she joined Midway Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School for over 20 years.
She is preceded in death by her father, Jack Seals; her grandparents, Tom and Vader Seals, and Rev. Robert and Bonnie Hipshire Smith; and sister, Shelia Trent.
She is survived by her best friend and loving husband of 21 years, Chad Stansberry; her mother, Wilma Smith Seals; and brother, Rev. David Seals (Jennifer). She is also survived by her mother and father-in-law, Margie and Leon Stansberry; brother-in-law, Kenny Trent; nieces, Caroline Long (Cody), Clarissa Trent, and Hannah Seals; nephews, Eli Seals (Alyssa) and Nathan Seals; and great nephew, Kacey Flint Seals.
The family will receive friends Monday January 22, 2024 from 4 PM until 7 PM at Coffey Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7 PM in the Coffey Funeral Home chapel. A graveside service will be held Tuesday January 23, 2024 at 1 PM in the Fairview Cemetery.
Rev. Ronnie Pressnell and Rev. Kim Collingsworth will be officiating.
Chelsea Pressnell Estes and David Painter will be singing special music.
Pallbearers will be Dewayne Gilpin, Nathan Seals, Eli Seals, Donnie Manning, Corbin Lester, Cody Long, Joshua Bundren, Rick Collingsworth, and Kenny Trent.
Honorary pallbearers will be TNT Primary School and Deacons of Midway Baptist Church.
