Dan was saved at the age of 7 at Raven Hill Baptist Church and a proud member of Goins Chapel. He was a lifelong resident of Claiborne County. He was most proud of his continued education at Tennessee Tech for Architectural Drawing and Design. He was always doing for others, like building ramps and repairing busted water heaters- these things were no big deal to him but life-changing to those he helped. Dan served his community with Springdale Volunteer Fire Department for many years and was proud of his training for search and rescue and special forestry training in the late 90’s. He also had a great love for music. He was the song leader at Goins Chapel Church and was honored to hold the title of President of the Springdale Singing Convention.
Dan was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Everett Singleton; grandparents, Paul and Ethel Singleton and Major and Mamie Bray; brother, Tommy Singleton; step-son, Brandon Seals.
Dan is survived by his mother, Marjorie Singleton; children, Rhondy Singleton, Valerie Long, Charles and Jessie Singleton, Brianna and Kyle Wentz; grand-children, Tyler Long, Haleigh Long, and Wylie Wentz; brothers, Otis (Susan), Jerry (Carolyn), Terry (Sue), Randy, Gene, and Ben (Kim); special friends, Kay Lane, Karen Singleton, and Linda Keaton; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
