Dale was born on April 17, 1941, and was a lifelong resident of Claiborne County, Tennessee. He was blessed with a life well lived and a loving family. He met his wife, Norma Jean Duncan, at MCM Baptist Church for the Homecoming service in 2007. Despite life's challenges, they have remained a strong married couple, always supporting each other through thick and thin. Dale belonged to MCM Baptist Church since May 21, 1967. This date was written in his bible by him, a keepsake memorial to the love he had for his church. He loved to read the Bible and had a strong faith and has been a devoted follower of God and his divine principles.
Dale worked for the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) for over 30 years. Outside of work, he enjoyed farming and gardening. He also worked on old cars and restored them to pristine condition. He enjoyed going to car shows and has won several trophies and awards. Dale enjoyed spending time with his family and church family and loved them all very much.
Dale was predeceased by his father, Carl Duncan, mother, Orlie Cleo Duncan, and his baby brother, Thomas Duncan. Also, predeceased by his first spouse, Hazel D. Duncan and baby daughter, Patricia Gail Duncan.
He is survived by his loving wife, Norma Jean Duncan, children, Debbie Pearman (husband, David), Lisa Duncan (husband, Sammy Cheek), Renee Peck (husband, Jerry), LaShell Snow (husband, Joshua), and Rhonda England (husband, David), his grandchildren, Michael Dale Capre, Rachel Cheek, Samantha Cheek, Nathaneel and Kailee Peck, Rachel Peck, Ahijah Snow, Aleeya Snow, Eli England and Kenlea England, great-grandchildren, Matthew Capre, Nathaniel Capre, and Samuel Capre, brother, Troy and sister-in-law Janice Duncan. As well as a multitude of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and those whose lives were touched by him. We ask that you remember him for the way he lived his life and the and the profound impact it had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 11, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM with funeral service to start at 7:00 PM in the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside service will be on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 10:00 AM in the Baldwin-Duncan Cemetery in New Tazewell. Anyone wishing to go in procession to the cemetery please meet at Coffey Funeral Home by 9:30 AM.
