He was promoted to Heaven on November 17, 2024, at the age of 92 in New Port Richey,
Florida.
He proudly served our country in the United States Airforce, and spent his career working as a
math teacher/professor, molding minds in the New York City school system and community
college for nearly 5 decades. He also served many years as deacon, treasurer, and all-around
handy man at the various churches he attended during his life. He was a dedicated and loving
husband and father.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and his beloved wife of 55 years, Marlys
Hohmann.
He is survived by his 2 daughters – Lianne Sánchez, and Sherene (Burl) Ryding,
5 grandchildren – Kylie Bush, Grace (Nathan) Gula, Rob Bush, Cassie Sánchez, and Sylvia
Sánchez, and 1 great-grandchild – Finnley Gula
He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
