It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rose Marie Bosworth, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who left us peacefully on Nov 17, 2023, at her home in Trinity, Florida. Born on February 2, 1936, in Weirton, West Virginia, Rose's journey was one marked by strength, love, and an unwavering faith.
For 34 years, Rose stood as a pillar of resilience, dedication and work ethic as a proud employee of Weirton Steel. Her commitment continued in her “retirement” as a cashier at Publix for 20 years, where her warmth and kindness touched many. Beyond her professional life, Rose was a beacon of love and care, deeply devoted to her family and her faith.
Rose's love for her family was unparalleled. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Victoria (David) Jenkins, son Billy (Elli) Bosworth, her cherished grandchildren David, Alexis, Liah, and Macy, and sisters Shirley Gaudreau and Roberta Kazienko, leaving behind a legacy of love and memories that will forever be cherished. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill, daughter Tracy, grandson Chad, and sisters Martha Hinchee and Millie Gerbo.
Rose's faith was the cornerstone of her life. A devout Christian, she embodied the teachings of Jesus Christ, extending her caring and loving nature to all she met. Her home was a haven of warmth, where everyone was greeted with open arms and a message about the love of Christ. Throughout her life and into His presence, Jesus was always on her lips and in her heart.
A memorial to celebrate Rose's life will be held at Meadowlawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens in New Port Richey, FL on Dec 23, 2023, at 10:30 am (and live streamed on Facebook at Meadowlawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens). In Rose's memory, and in lieu of flowers, we invite you to make a donation to your local Hospice organization or the Wounded Warrior Project. This gesture honors Rose's life-long dedication to caring for others and shows gratitude for the care she herself received.
Rose’s life was a testament to the power of faith, the strength of the human spirit, and the boundless capacity for love. Whether in her passion for sports supporting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Rays, or in having people over for a meal and canasta, she brought joy to all those around her. She leaves behind not just a family, but a community enriched by her presence, a legacy of kindness, and a lesson in living life filled with purpose and love.
