Marie peacefully passed away after a 6 ½ year battle with breast cancer. She was born in Blossburg, PA and was raised in Watkins Glen, NY. In 1965, she and her husband Fortunato moved to Rochester, NY, where they lived for 39 years and raised their three children. Marie was a hairstylist out of her home for many years and was also an employee of the Rochester City School District. She retired and moved to Trinity, FL in 2003.
Marie is survived by her husband Fortunato Panella of 50 years, son Sante Panella, daughter Saveria (Antonio) Calabrese, daughter Kathy (Roberto) Colilli, and seven grandchildren: Antonia, Daniela, Roberto, Francesca, Martina, Marcella & Marco. Marie was preceded in death by her parents Michaelangelo and Catherine Fazzari, and brothers Frank and James Fazzari.
Marie enjoyed spending time with her family, shopping, and getting her hair and nails done. She also enjoyed attending the Italian-American club. Marie is also survived by many brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces & nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many loving friends.
